What does the individual renovation roadmap cost?

The cost of an iSFP depends on building type, size and complexity. For residential buildings, a substantial part of the consulting fee is subsidised by a federal programme — your own contribution is therefore noticeably lower than the gross fee.

In a free initial consultation we give you a concrete, transparent cost estimate for your building. You know in advance exactly what your own contribution will be.

What drives the cost?

The biggest factor is building type: a single-family home is much faster to advise than an apartment building with complex ownership and use structures. The state of the as-built documents matters too — if plans or energy figures are missing, the stocktake takes longer.

Local specifics also matter: heritage-listed buildings require coordination with the heritage authority, which means additional consulting time. WEG buildings often need the report prepared as a defensible resolution document for the owners' meeting.

Federal funding for the consultation

The Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA) covers a substantial share of the consulting fee for the iSFP. The exact amount depends on building type and current programme design. We check in the initial consultation which funding applies to your specific case and, on request, handle the full application.

Typically, the federal funding covers a significant portion of the fee — your remaining own contribution is well planned and transparent.

What's included in the iSFP fee?

Our iSFP fee covers the extensive initial consultation, the on-site inspection with stocktake, the energy modelling of your property, the production of the standardised report (measure packages plus individual renovation roadmap), a closing meeting and the registration of the iSFP in the funding portal, so that subsequent measures can claim the iSFP bonus.

FAQ

Is there an own contribution for the iSFP?
Yes. Even though federal funding covers a substantial share, an own contribution remains. The amount varies by building type — we name the range transparently in the initial consultation.
What does an iSFP cost for a single-family home?
In the initial consultation we give you a concrete gross figure for your building. Federal funding is deducted from the gross fee — your own contribution is therefore noticeably lower than the gross amount.
Are the consulting costs worthwhile economically?
As a rule, yes. The iSFP shows in which order measures have the biggest effect and can additionally unlock the iSFP bonus on subsequent measures. Both typically offset the own contribution for the consultation quickly.
Do you also handle the funding application for the consultation?
Yes. On request we file the application for the consulting subsidy in your name and submit the finished report in the funding portal. You don't need to work through the funding logic yourself.
Are there extra costs for heritage-listed buildings?
Heritage-listed buildings require additional coordination and therefore a bit more consulting time. In return, they often offer tax advantages on retrofits — typically these advantages help to put the extra consulting cost into perspective.
