The iSFP process — from first call to finished report in 4 steps

The iSFP follows a clearly structured process. You know in advance what happens, who does what and when the report lands on your desk. From the first call to delivery, plan for 4–8 weeks.

Back to the iSFP hub

1. Free initial consultation (30 minutes)

In the first step we clarify whether an iSFP makes sense for your building and your goals. You tell us what you have in mind — we listen, ask the right questions and frame the funding landscape. At the end you know whether and in what form an iSFP fits, what it costs and which funding may apply.

The initial consultation runs by phone or video. It is free and non-binding.

2. On-site inspection with stocktake

We come to your property and systematically capture the current energy condition: building envelope, windows, heating, ventilation, hot water and renewables where applicable. We review as-built documents and take additional measurements where needed for the calculation.

On request we run the inspection with drone support — useful for hard-to-access buildings and producing usable images of roofs and facades.

3. Energy modelling & measure planning

Back in the office, we model your building. We produce the energy balance using the federal methodology, define measure packages and bring them into an order that makes technical and economic sense. We check funding programmes in parallel so the roadmap also adds up financially.

4. Closing meeting & report handover

In a closing meeting we walk through the finished iSFP report together — findings, measures, costs, impact, funding paths. You receive the report digitally and as a printed copy. On request we register the iSFP in the funding portal so that subsequent single measures can claim the iSFP bonus.

FAQ

How long does the on-site inspection take?
For a typical single-family home, plan roughly 3–4 hours on site. Apartment buildings and heritage-listed properties can take longer, because more rooms must be captured and more details documented.
What documents do I need in advance?
Floor plans, building specification or an existing Energieausweis are helpful. If those are missing, we can record the building from scratch — that is not a blocker.
Can we ask questions on specific measures during the inspection?
Of course. Many owners have concrete topics in mind — heating, roof insulation, windows. We take your questions into the report and place them within the renovation roadmap.
Do I also get the report digitally?
Always. You receive the report as a PDF and as a printed booklet. On request, we add the funding-portal registration to the digital folder.
What happens after report handover?
That's up to you. We optionally offer construction supervision (technical quality assurance during the works) and application support for subsequent funding — but you can also continue on your own or with other partners.
